Training: Rehabilitation of Neurological Illness and InjuryAdvanced Rehabilitation Research Fellowship In 2004, we initiated an advanced rehabilitation research training program for individuals with advanced degrees, committed to a career in rehabilitation research. Neurobehavioral recovery and intervention is the ARRTs focus and fellows normally receive at least two years of salary support. The ultimate goal of the VCUMC ARRT is to benefit rehabilitation practice and outcomes by increasing the number of highly skilled research professionals.
Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Brain Injury Fellowship Instructor, one year clinical and research training with exposure to intensive care consultation, inpatient rehab, subacute/coma management, day rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and medicalegal services. Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pain Fellowship The pain program is a joint venture of the VCU/MCV Departments of Anesthesia and PM&R through the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center Pain Clinic, the VCU Medical College of Virginia Hospital Cancer Pain Clinic, Childrens Hospital of Richmond mand the Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Centers.
