Vocational Rehabilitation CorePaul Wehman, Ph.D., director
The Vocational Rehabilitation Core is an interdisciplinary core devoted to the study, research, training and demonstration of employment, disability policy and Social Security issues. The core has strong graduate instruction components in both the School of Allied Health Professions and the School of Education. In the past five years, researchers involved with this core have published more than 25 books and monographs and approximately 130 journal articles. They provide testimony to national audiences such as the General Accounting Office, U.S. Congress and Presidential Commissions. The Vocational Rehabilitation Core provides an important disability and employment foundation to CERSE, and is a model of VCU interdisciplinary research for the other cores.
